These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of iOS applications and games developed by Brightfield Software (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading or using our apps, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.

1. Use of the App

Brightfield Software grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our apps for personal, lawful purposes, in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code

  • Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations

  • Misuse the app in a manner that could harm others or interfere with normal operation

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and controlling access to the app.

2. Ownership and Intellectual Property

All apps, content, code, design, and related materials are the intellectual property of Brightfield Software or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any intellectual property rights.

3. Privacy

Your use of our apps is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is handled.

We design our apps to minimize data collection and prioritize on-device processing. Please review the Privacy Policy for full details.

4. App Functionality and Availability

We aim to provide reliable and well-maintained software, but we do not guarantee that:

  • The app will always be available

  • The app will be error-free

  • All features will function uninterrupted on all devices

We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time to improve functionality or address technical issues.

5. Third-Party Services

Some apps may interact with third-party services (such as Apple system services or optional cloud features).

Brightfield Software is not responsible for third-party services and their content, availability, or practices. Use of such services is subject to their respective terms.

6. Financial Account Connectivity (Optional Features)

Certain features of the app may allow you to connect financial accounts through third-party financial connectivity providers, including Plaid Inc. and Enable Banking AS.

By using these features, you authorize Brightfield Software and its service providers to access, retrieve, and transmit your financial account information solely to provide the functionality you request within the app.

Brightfield Software does not control the availability, accuracy, or completeness of information provided by financial institutions or third-party connectivity providers and is not responsible for errors, delays, interruptions, or changes in such information.

Access to financial account information is provided only with your explicit authorization and may be revoked by you at any time by disconnecting the relevant account within the app.

7. Financial Information Disclaimer

The app is provided for informational and personal budgeting purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

Brightfield Software makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of financial information displayed in the app.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying financial information and for making any financial decisions based on that information.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Brightfield Software shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Data loss resulting from device failure or misuse

  • Issues caused by factors outside our reasonable control

Your use of the app is at your own risk.

Brightfield Software is not liable for inaccuracies, interruptions, delays, or failures caused by financial institutions or third-party financial connectivity providers.

9. No Warranties

Apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an app if these Terms are violated or if continued operation becomes impractical.

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.

Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
